Please attend the two public meetings that the Zoo Directer is hosting regarding the future of Tembo & Sunda

First Meeting -- Tuesday, October 9 at 6:00 p.m. at the Big Gage Shelterhouse in Gage Park

Second Meeting -- Saturday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gary Clarke Living Classroom at the Topeka Zoo

These wonderful and intelligent animals need to be in an Elephant sanctuary where they can socialize and roam with other Elephants like they are suppose to!! The existence they have endured at the hands of humans has been desolate and depressing!!! Let them go free and be happy!!

Please help us retire Tembo and Sunda from the Topeka Zoo to The Elephant Sanctuary!

We have a dream for Tembo and Sunda that we believe can come true if enough people will join us in demanding their freedom. After decades in chains -- these elephants are now unchained but are still confined to a small yard, are forced to endure all kinds of weather extremes and are "stored" in a barn for at least half the year where zoo patrons cannot even see them -- we believe they deserve a chance to spend their last few years in an environment more conducive for elephants. The Topeka Zoo simply cannot provide the best environment for these magnificent, intelligent beings, which is why The Elephant Sanctuary has generously agreed to transport and care for Tembo and Sunda at their 2,700-acre paradise at no cost to the Zoo. Please help us get them there.
